We closed the loop in South America, by arriving to Lima!
It was another loooong drive (17 hours)... but we made it... and we are happy that the long bus rides are over! What was supposed to be two days of waiting for the flight to US, became a wonderful time with delicious food and some sightseeing :) :)
Noelia, our contact in Lima, was keeping our stuff during our trip here in South America, since we had to get rid of some things to be able to actually "backpack" through the continent :)
Moreover, when we first arrived in Lima, Noelia introduced us to their local dish Cevihe.... and we fell in love with it!!!! Yes, it is raw fish, but it is delicious! Our favourit is the Cevishe mixto, where you get all kind of sea food together with the raw fish in lime with red onion...aaaaamazing! So what did we start off with when we came back? :)
Ofcourse, ceviche! Just have a look! And if you ever go to Peru... TRY it for God sake!
NOELIA - thank you so much for taking care of us, keeping our stuff and showing us your city, with the amazing lunch, desert, and historic little walk!
The second night, we stayed with a couchsurfer - Dan. Thank you so much for joining us the last day in South America, and thank you for having us in your place!!
